LITTER CONTROL ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES AWARD WINNERS, NEW BOARD

Columbia, SC – The South Carolina Litter Control Association (SCLCA) presented its statewide awards at their annual conference in February. Nine awards recognized statewide leaders in law enforcement, education and community improvement.  SCLCA members also elected a new board of directors.

Award winners were chosen for their leadership in the area of litter enforcement, education and community improvement.  While the majority of SCLCA members are law enforcement officers, there is a large contingency of community improvement leaders involved in litter reduction activities, recycling and beautification.  These members are vital to the SCLCA mission and help officers create a well-rounded program to reduce litter and prevent crime.
