PalmettoPride Pickup Programs

Clean Teams

We’ve created PalmettoPride Clean Teams to give citizens a simple framework to actively participate in keeping South Carolina beautiful. We need YOU to engage neighbors, family and friends to adopt a special area to monitor and clean up regularly. Clean Teams will fill in the gaps where Adopt-A-Highway and other state and local litter pickup programs don’t apply. For more information, visit this page or call 1-877-725-7733

Francis Marion National Forest Cleanup

PalmettoPride has partnered with the Department of Natural Resources, SCDHEC, the South Carolina Forestry Commission, USDA Forest Service and other forces to pilot the National Parks and Forest Program. It’s designed to heighten enforcement efforts and bring volunteers together to clean up the hundreds of illegal dumpsites in the forests and parks of South Carolina. To build further awareness of the litter problem, Litter Buster Hotline signs are also put in the target sites. Hundreds of dedicated volunteers come together annually to clean up tons of litter from illegal dumpsites in Francis Marion National Forest.  Sign up to volunteer at the next cleanup, held February 3, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm. Lunch will be provided.
