Miss South Carolina Promise Program Booking

To book Miss South Carolina for your middle school, please contact Lisa Merrill by calling 864-843-9090. Due to the very busy schedule of Miss South Carolina, program assignments are limited.

SCDHEC Green Driver Project

This program targets high school driver education classes on the environmental impact of driving. The classroom presentation -- by a DHEC staff member -- centers on used oil recycling, air and water issues, energy conservation and litter prevention. PalmettoPride Decomposition Statistics

Would you like litter decomposition statistics for your classroom? We have two documents available for download. If you would like to make a hands-on visual for your classroom click here. Just print the document on to sticky label paper or use glue to stick the printouts on to foam or cardboard.  Have your students match the piece of litter with the appropriate time it takes to decompose. For a matching game for your students, click here. Separate the pictures from the times, mix everything up and have your students try to guess the correct decomposition times.
